Our Homes
Janith Homes operates five registered residential care homes for adults with learning difficulties in North Norfolk. All our properties have received a 2 Star Good rating from the Care Quality Commission regulators. The accommodation meets the National Care Standard Regulations 2008 and is of a high standard.
The largest is The Rookery care home at Walcott, which provides varied accommodation for 30 adults. The other homes are Cypress Lodge at Potter Heigham, Hall Farm Cottage at Bacton, St. Brannocks at Mundesley and Strawberry Field at Walcott. Some of the current residents have moved from The Rookery to the smaller ‘family’ style homes where they are able to enjoy greater community involvement, independence and experience different life chances.
All our well-maintained properties offer full board accommodation, excellent facilities and a range of single, and en-suite bedrooms.
Each home provides:

- Communal Lounge, kitchen and dining room

- TV and DVD player
- Garden with patio areas
- Vegetable plots and greenhouse
- Laundry facilities
- Fully trained staff in 24 hour attendance
- Full central heating
- Home cooking
- Designated smoking areas
- A safe and stimulating environment
We do not have house rules but to provide a harmonious life each home follows certain procedures to ensure residents’ rights including privacy are respected. Personal belongings and furniture will be accommodated where possible. Each resident has complete choice in how they would like their rooms decorated and chooses their own bedroom furniture.
Fees
We are committed to providing value for money within our comprehensive and caring service. Fees also include access with staffing to:
- NHS health care
- Health and fitness advice
- Communication, speech and language courses
- A fleet of company vehicles for transport to day services, local facilities and the wider community
